Overview and Facilities
Mara Siria Bush Camp is an eco-friendly tented safari camp located on top of the Siria Escarpment on the Western border of the Masai Mara. It offers absolute unique and stunning views into the plains of the Masai Mara Triangle and the Mara River. The Oloololo Gate and Kichwa Tembo Airstrip (daily scheduled flights to Nairobi and Mombasa/Ukunda) are only 15 minutes drive away. Mara Siria Camp offers the perfect starting point for your safari.
The camp fits nicely into the natural environment and offers a unique opportunity to explore the natural beauty of the Mara. Even after returning from a day out on safari the feeling of wilderness will be maintained. The camp is not fenced and plains game (antelopes, zebras and others) often wander around the premises to graze or to quench their thirst at the nearby waterhole. Electricity and hot water in the camp is produced in an environmental friendly manner – the camp is silver certified by ecotourism Kenya (more information).
The camp offers accommodation in twelve tents and two cottages – each with comfortable furniture, private terrace and en-suite bathroom equipped with a safari shower, a hand wash basin and a flush toilet.
You are served breakfast with Kenyan Tea or coffee while enjoying one of the most spectacular sunrises seen on this planet. Our delicious lunches and dinners are served as a 3-course-menue or a barbecue-buffet. On request we can also prepare meals to be eaten out in the bush. Our chefs gladly prepare vegetarian food or any special dietary requirements.
Prior to dinner you may also enjoy a sundowner drink at the bonfire.
The small plunge pool is the ideal place to cool down after a hot day on safari and to enjoy the spectacular view of the Mara River and the plains. Several viewing platforms invite you to just relax, take in the breeze and a panoramic view of the Masai Mara. Our lounge area is also always open to relax, have a drink and share your experiences with other guests.
Other facilities include a restaurant, a wine cellar and a small shop.
Activities at the camp are game drives (in your own or the camps vehicle), nature walks, mountain biking, cultural visits and balloon safaris.
