Rhino

Experience

A visit to Elatia Rhino Sanctuary in the Masai Mara means for our guests a unique experience with rhino conservation and close encounters with these giants

Online Booking

The sanctuary is home to seven white rhinos, providing a safe space for these majestic creatures to roam freely. Elatia plays a crucial role in protecting rhinos, helping to rebuild populations under constant protection from poaching threats. The sanctuary is managed with a strong focus on wildlife conservation and sustainability, making it an essential part of the Masai Mara’s ecosystem.

The Experience: We recommend a visit to the sanctuary in the morning or late afternoon hours – rhinos are most active during this time. You will track rhinos from your vehicle, guided by an experienced ranger. Once the rhinos are spotted and appear more at ease, you’ll have the opportunity to step out on foot with your ranger for a closer, up-close encounter. During this unforgettable experience, you’ll observe their behavior and gain valuable insights into rhino conservation. Additionally, you’ll learn firsthand about anti-poaching efforts and the measures taken to protect their natural habitat.

💚 Why Visit Elatia Rhino Sanctuary?
A visit to Elatia is more than just a wildlife experience—it’s an opportunity to support rhino conservation efforts and contribute to protecting the future of these iconic animals. Entrance fees and tours directly support the sanctuary’s anti-poaching initiatives and local community programs, making your visit impactful and meaningful.
