Horse Riding Safari

Encounter wildlife in the Masai Mara in a totally different way – Horse riding safaris are a unique and exciting experience and its available in proximity to Mara Siria Camp. The horses – Somali-Arab crossbreds and thoroughbreds are well-in and mild mannered. They are also completely used to being among wildlife.

The guides will take you to areas of abundant flora and fauna. An equine Safari is of course best either at sunrise or sunset, which gives you a true feeling of being one with nature. Horse riding on the Siria Escarpement bordering the Masai Mara with it’s unsurpassed views is truly a very unique and unforgettable experience in the African Bush.

Experienced riders (after an initial riding assessment in the arena) will get the opportunity for some faster riding. A 4 hours ride in the morning and 2 hours in the afternoon can be arranged. The pace of riding is varied; in between fast and thrilling gallops alongside giraffe, zebra and other wild animal. You can indulge in some of the best bird watching in the world.

If you are new to horse riding, you can get a 30-minute lesson on basic horse riding followed by a 30 minutes excursion into our conservation for an experience you are yet to have, and will hardly find elsewhere.
