We have just spent the most amazing few days as guests at Mara Siria. The ambience is simply wonderful. You feel like... part of the family as soon as you arrive. We were lucky enough to have Siria 15 deluxe tent with an escarpment view straight across the Mara. It was comfortable, just right with hot water, shower and power for Wi-Fi and charging cameras etc. The food was wonderful; simple, delicious and filling. Our guide and driver (Dufton) was attentive, hugely knowledgable and responsive to the ever-changing animal situation on the Mara. Joe, Charlie and the team looked after us perfectly. Would highly recommend flying to Kichwa from Wilson Airport in Nairobi as it’s 30 mins vs 5 hrs in a car. We booked through Phoenix Safaris https://phoenix-safaris.com/hotel/mara-siria and they did an amazing job of sorting a tailor-made trip. Thanks guys n gals, we’ll be backread more

We (two couples) recently returned from our trip to East Africa which included two nights at the Mara Siria tented... camp. We all wished we planned more time there, as we didn't realize how much we'd want to simply hang out, relax, and enjoy the camp after our game drives. Our tents (5 and 6) were spacious, clean, and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Each tent had outside seating and unbelievable views of the Mara and savannah below. The food was truly delicious. I am a vegetarian and the food was some of the best I have had anywhere I have traveled. The staff really made the experience extra special. They were lovely, accommodating, and efficient. Any need we had, they addressed immediately. Despite the unexpected rain and flooding (as this was the dry season), the staff made our stay really wonderful. I cannot recommend Mara Siria highly enough.read more

Absolutely the best experience this week at the camp in the bush (do not expect an American high end resort complex). ... Small and intimate set up high up on the mountain overlooking the Mara River and the Masai Mara reserve. Paul (our safari driver) took us out for two days of bumpy safari driving...which included seeing all the Big 5 animals and many many more. As Paul said...we were very lucky on our all day safari to have up close views of the leopards, cheetahs and lions plus hungry hyenas. The camp provided 3 meals a day, cocktail time and accommodated an electrical request for my husband’s c-pap. Our luxury tent was comfy and quiet...loved the hot water bottles in our beds to warm it up! Joel (manager) and staff were always pleasant. Thanks for a lovely 2 days that we will always remember.read more

A great place, beautifully located with a great view. The tents are equipped with everything you need. Pure relaxation.... Perfect place to relax and start a tour of the national park. Having just returned from a wonderful twelve-day visit to Kenya organized by Phoenix Safaris, I can unreservedly... recommend this travel company. Iris put together an itinerary that gave us a prefect first impression of this beautiful country, and of the very nice safari lodges where we stayed, their own Mara Siria tented camp in the Masai Mara was the highlight: luxurious accommodation, incredibly friendly staff, lovingly prepared meals. When they inquire about dietary concerns on arrival, they mean it. I was pampered with specially prepared onion-free dinners on all our three nights. And the view from Tent 5 is spectacular! We are sure to return and bring the family.read more

We chose this camp because of its incredible value for money, and highly commendable reviews - very much so for anyone... who is from overseas, and is travelling to the Mara juggling the massive variety of camps to choose from in the Mara Triangle.There is not too much information online about the camp - hence here's a brief summary. Their tents are luxury rated, we chose the deluxe luxury tent - so it runs fully off the grid, hot water is on demand, beds are huge and comfortable. The tents are fully enclosed (pretty insect proof, other than the odd ant slipping under the door) and camp is located 1600m above sea level, hence less mosquitos.I think there's something special going on here, which I would call Kenyan hospitality. Everyone has been amazing and friendly to us - from Joel, the manager to every interaction with staff running the camp, and even the guards walking us back to our tents after sunset.The main highlight of our stay at the camp is Dafton, our driver and guide for the game drives organised with Mara Siria. We had 2 and a half day of drives done with him - and he has been the most gracious, amazing gentleman. The conversations we had were so fun and thoughtful, our opinions and wants were taken care of. He is extremely knowledgeable of the Mara wildlife. What has truly made our trip here in the Mara is all thanks to a great guide whom we have spent about 30 hours with in the past 3 days, catching sights beyond the Big 5 - the Ugly 5, countless birds and animals. He's been the superstar for us on this trip, where he has gone above and beyond for us. Thank you again Dafton. My wife and I are grateful for the time we had!read more

We had a wonderful stay at Mara Siria. The camp is in a stunning location with terrific views from the escarpment to... the plain below, and the tents are very well spread out amongst the trees to give privacy and a sense of the natural environment. Food was excellent.The game in the Mara triangle is superb and the guides at the camp make the game drives unforgettable. Indeed all the staff at Mara Siria are incredibly helpful, friendly, professional and knowledgable - they couldn't do enough to make our stay as memorable as possible.Overall we had an amazing holiday and couldn't recommend Mara Siria highly enough.read more

Tents are clean, spacious and well maintained, and meals were good. We would love to come back in the future!read more

We had the best stay at this beautiful, located amongst the natural bush environment. The tents are situated amongst... nature and there were always animals wondering through the camp, including so many zebras chilling outside our tent throughout the day. The location is unbeatable, food was superb, and the staff were incredibly friendly. All staff were so knowledgeable about the Mara and wildlife, my wife, I and 2 adult daughters felt so welcome and learnt so much. A special thank you to camp guide Emmanuel, who is a young man from a local Masaai village. His knowledge of the birds and animals was spectacular and he was so incredibly welcoming. A huge thank you to all the staff.read more

We absolutely loved our stay at Mara Siria. The camp has a really nice atmosphere and is not trying to be unnecessary... luxurious like some of the other camps around the Mara. Everything is made with love and attention to detail, which makes it very cosy. The camp was very clean, including a great hot shower (didn't expect that from a bush camp!) Food was good, too - homemade and fresh. The view is just stunning and the staff very friendly and helpful. Only thing to improve would be more comfy seating e.g. sunbeds at the viewing decks incl. some shade. This would allow you to enjoy the view while relaxing. Our driver Jacob was great - knowledgeable and very respectful to the animals, getting the best experience for everyone.read more

Our stay here was an absolute dream! Coming up from Nairobi and breathing the fresh air while overlooking the Mara... gives you goosebumps. The staff is a dream team with friendly and honest characters who always have a smile on their face and a few words to exchange. We enjoyed especially Ruth’s excellent food, Nzomo’s spot-on service, Joel’s great management and learning from Emmanuel about Maasai traditions. And then of course, Peter’s unique sense for the animals of the Mara and his driving skills that allowed us to see all of the big five in just two days.Thank you for everything! Our stay at Mara Siria was wonderful. The campsite is in a beautiful location overlooking the Mara triangle and the... atmosphere at the camp is friendly, relaxed, and welcoming. The food is delicious and always prepared with care - considering allergies and preferences - thanks to Ruth!But what makes this place really special is the staff: everyone is absolutely warm and personal and authentic. The conversations we had with Lydia added so much wisdom and insight to our experience. We will always remember these. She's a true gem!Maybe the staff could train the owner on how to handle issues - hanging up is never a good idea 🙂read more

We had a great time! The camp is really confortable, like the other reviews also confirm. Specifically, we were super... happy with our tour guide Joseph. He was extremely dedicated, knowledgeable and kind. He knew so much about animals (especially birds, which I loved and which is quite special) and knew exactly where to find them too. He managed to show us the migration and a live kill from a lion within 2 days! And countless other animals. Thank you so much!!read more

Enjoyed our stay at the Mara Siria Bush Camp very much!The staff was extremely friendly and helpful!The tents will... be undergoing some major renovation, as we were told, but we personally enjoyed the "pure and simple" style. Warm water was heated and delivered to the tent for a shower whenever requested.The renovated lots offer fluent water supply as I understood.The food was good and freshly prepared - and a nice selection of beer, wine and spirits.The view is breathtaking - overlooking the valley - incredible!The safari drives were stunning - we saw everything except for leopards and the guides were very helpful and informative.Hope to come back!read more

Fantastic view over Mara. Nice staff and descent food. The tents were great.Plus one star for the tour guide Jacob,... who was clearly the best oriented guide in the park. All the other guides asked him for advice, so we always saw things first, and when we where done, he let the other’s know.read more
