We honestly wouldn’t dream of staying anywhere else in the Masai Mara. The warmth of the staff, Polly, Emmanuel, Oscar, and Joel, made our family feel so welcome. The food was impeccable and thoughtfully catered to our dietary needs, and the guiding was truly outstanding. An unforgettable stay from start to finish! Jacob, our safari guide, was patient, knowledgeable, and deeply connected with the animals, he made every drive unforgettable. Our tent was beautifully set up, offering the perfect blend of comfort and a true safari experience. The food was absolutely delicious every meal was a delight.
And the plunge pool? Unreal. With a view that stretched out over the Mara, it was the perfect spot to unwind after an exciting game drive.

We were greeted at the camp by Joel, the general manager who was extremely friendly, professional and operated an excellent smile and personality.

... Read more /> Polly, Joel’s right hand woman, was an excellent host come the dining experience and nothing was too much for her. A real ambassador of the camp and no doubt the glue that holds the team together.

And finally, Charlie, the fountain of wildlife based knowledge and an all round stand up chap. Charlie kindly hosted us for a nature walk on evening one and was a walking encyclopaedia of trivia. Certainly the sort of man you’d look to carve out some time with round the fire Pitt for a flora and fauna clinic.

Thank you again all for a fantastic trip and will certainly spread the word of Camp Siria’s pedigree.

  Highly Recommended  - We have now visited Mara Siria three times and on each occasion had a marvellous experience. This time we stayed for 5 days, visiting the park for 3 full days... Read more and relaxing in camp for a couple of days (including a visit to the nearby Elatia Rhino sanctuary, highly recommended).
The staff are all exceptionally helpful and friendly and will do all they can to make your stay as enjoyable as possible.
3 days in the park could easily have been more as each drive is unique and enjoyable in a different way. It amazes me that people go all the way to the Mara for just one park visit.
Overall a terrific place to stay. I can't recommend highly enough.

Joel and the whole team are so friendly and look after you so well. They all work such long hours but are always ready to greet you with a smile. Food is plentiful and tasty, our deluxe tent was very comfortable , spacious, and felt very spoilt with plentiful hot water and a lovely touch of a hot water bottle in bed at night!
Charlie is a born guide on the game drives with his knowledge and enthusiasm. Always very respectful of the animals and his passion for photography was a bonus for me trying to get ‘the shot’ .We felt so lucky to have seen the variety of wildlife that we did.
A truly wonderful place and we were very sad to leave.

We even had Zebra visiting the camp and the little Rock Hiraxes living on the rocks are extra cute. The team at the camp around Charlie, Joel, Polly and Ronny are fantastic and our driver and guide Richard was the best showing us everything the park has to offer on our game drives - including 17 lions, leopard, cheetahs and a black rhino baby.

  Amazing personal safari camp  - We have just returned from a family holiday in Kenya. Part of this trip was a two night stay at Mara Siria Tented Camp. We were picked up at the... Read more airstrip and taken to the camp which was approx 25 minutes away. On arrival we were were greeted by friendly staff who handed us a welcome drink. We were given a short briefing about the camp then shown to our large luxury tents which were amazing. They consisted of a veranda, bedroom and bathroom with all toiletries included. There is a plunge pool on site with the most amazing view. There is a stall which sells local handicrafts. Due to the camp being open and unfenced you are escorted by staff to and from your tents at night. As it was a bit cooler at night hot water bottles were placed in our beds during turndown, which was a lovely surprise. Each day menu choices are discussed with staff. The food was varied and delicious with staff very attentive. We were taken on a nature walk by Emmanuel who explained all about Masai ways and the animals and plants around the camp. We had very up close experiences with Zebra and Giraffe on the walk. All staff were excellent, knowledgeable and very friendly. As this is a smaller camp it definitely feels you experience a more personal touch. All in all we had the most incredible time and would would highly recommend this camp

The staff is the nicest that I ever experienced, also super knowledgeable rangers for the safaris. Beside the typical safari by wonderful 4x4s, I also did a walking safari 👌🏼.

  A fantastic experience!  - This was our second time at Mara Siria (and hopefully not our last). If anything our stay was even better than before!
Many people stay for only a couple... Read more of nights, going in to the park for one day to try and 'tick off the big five.' To me this is madness. We went in to the park for 4 full days and each time had completely different experiences. I couldn't recommend more strongly going into the park for at least 2 days and preferably more. Our guide, Jacob, was incredible and did all he could to make each day as memorable as possible.
The camp itself is very relaxing so we interspersed our 'park' days with a couple of rest days. We sat outside the tent (one overlooking the escarpment) just reading, watching the wildlife below, and listening to the sound of the Mara River. We also did a nature walk which was very enjoyable and interesting.
Mara Siria is extremely well run and the staff are all very friendly and helpful. They couldn't have done more to make our stay any more enjoyable.
Overall I couldn't recommend Mara Siria highly enough (and stay for several days!).

On our last morning, we went for a walk not too far from the camp; Emmanuel was our guide, and that was a breathtaking experience, too. The only thing I was not too excited about was our tent which was rather small and felt a bit stuffy. However, that did not really matter as we did not spend much time inside. Our trip was organized by Phoenix Safaris, and I would highly recommend them for their professionalism and their friendliness.

The "camp zebra" is a bonus - not tame but likes to hang out with the humans!

  Wonderful Stay  - I had a wonderful stay at this camp just outside the park. When booking, I suggest you book tent 5 or 6 which have amazing views over the park and... Read more the Mara river below. The staff are brilliant and are always asking how you are and whether they can do anything for you. They greet you warmly as you return from safari. There’s a plunge pool which overlooks the park. I didn’t use it but it has a wonderful view. The food menu is limited but good quality and I enjoyed it all.

Jacob was my amazing guide and I nominate him for “Masai Mara guide of the year”. He had everything a good guide should: great knowledge, a good network amongst the other guides and he was always checking what I wanted to see and doing his utmost to make sure I saw all the game I wanted, including a crossing. Everytime we moved on, he checked that I was ready. May he be picking flowers in the Mara for many years to come.

The location is just the best, close to the gate and animal sightings everywhere. The gate where the camp is located is one of the more quite ones but on this side of the Mara the animals where the best. No big crouds with lots of vehicles like on the other side near the main gate.

We booked though Phoenix Safaris, this camp is owned by them. With our booking we got a driver that drove us all around to all places we went to. Our driver was Richard, OMG, this is the best you could get! He is the best driver and guide and especially animal spotter out there. He was always the first guide around to spot a special animal and then other guides would join and watch the sighting, he was friends with all the other guides and knew the staff at the Mara gates and made our trip the best!

During our stay we also booked a Hot Airballoon morning safari with champagne breakfast, this is a once in a lifetime experience and a definite must do! After the breakfast our superguide was ready to take us the rest of the day on a gamedrive, he took the lunch packed from the resort, this way we could make the most of our day and not have to go back to the camp for lunch.

Only comment i could give is place a water kettle in the room so guests could make coffee or tea in the deluxe tents.

Read more perfect first impression of this beautiful country, and of the safari lodges where we stayed, their own Mara Siria tented camp at Masai Mara was the highlight: luxurious accommodation, incredibly friendly staff, lovingly prepared meals. When they inquire about dietary concerns on arrival, they mean it. I was pampered with specially prepared, onion-free dinners for our three nights there. And the view from Tent 5 was spectacular. Die Lage des Camps wurde schon mehrfach beschrieben und besticht... Read more durch seine Lage auf einem Höhenzug mit Blick in die Mara. Sowohl der Sonnenaufgang als auch Sonnenuntergang lassen sich dort super beobachten, beim Essen draußen hat man den Blick und selbst von den Zelten genießt man die Sicht.
Das Camp ist sehr liebevoll zusammengestellt mit 15 Zelten mit genügend Abstand zueinander, einem Empfangszelt, Restaurantzelt und vielen Sitzmöglichkeiten. Strom und WLAN ist vorhanden, die Zelte sind geräumig, die Sanitäranlagen ausgesprochen sauber und das Essen entspricht mehr als deutschen Standards. Als Vegetarier war es überhaupt kein Problem und das Essen war sehr vielfältig und abwechslungsreich.
Besonders gefallen hat uns das sher zuvorkommende und freundliche Personal, das jeden Wunsch erfüllt hat. Auch gab es viele Kleinigkeiten, die den Aufenthalt besonders gemacht haben: jeden Abend Wärmflaschen im Bett, tolle Picknicks für unterwegs, Sundowner am Abend und die friedlichen Haustiere des Camps: Zebras, Giraffen und Klippschliefer.
Die Safaritouren haben das ganze abgerundet, die big five haben wir alle gesehen, es wurde so oft und so lange gehalten, wie wir wollten und die Touren wurden nach unseren Wünschen gemacht.
Allem in allem sehr zu empfehlen.

In den letzten Jahren ist viel in neue Technik investiert worden. Dennoch hat das Camp seinen authentischen und familiären Charm in keiner Weise verloren. Inzwischen werden 2 weitere Units mit spektakulären Ausblicken gebaut. Wer sich hier einbucht, hat alles richtig gemacht. Phoenix Safaris kümmert sich von A-Z um alles, also Flug ex Deutschland, Hotel in Nairobi, Anreise zum Camp etc. Freundliches Personal und kompetente Fahrer runden das Bild.
Also nix wie los. Den Aufenthalt dort wird man nie vergessen

  Spektakulär - Das Tollste an diesem wunderschönen Camp ist wohl, dass man selbst nach vielen Aufenthalten in der Masai Mara und in den dortigen Camps und Lodges schon bei der Ankunft dasteht... Read more und sich denkt: Wow, das ist wirklich spektakulär. Was für ein Ausblick auf die Mara, was für ein grandioser Pool, was für süße Mitarbeiter. Die Zelte sind wirklich schön und gepflegt, das Essen ist sehr gut, und man hat, keine Ahnung, wie sie das machen, gleichzeitig absolute Privatsphäre und immer das Gefühl, Teil einer kleinen, wunderbaren Familie zu sein.

Wir hatten alles mit Phoenix Safaris gebucht, die hiermit absolut empfohlen wird. Mit unserem Guide George hatten wir schon beim ersten Game Drive in der Mara alle Big Five entdeckt und eine Gepardenfamilie noch dazu.

Um es kurz zu machen: Wer das Mara Siria Camp bucht, kann überhaupt nichts falsch machen, im Gegenteil, es ist eine der besten Adressen in Kenia. Ebenso Phoenix Safaris. Wir haben es absolut genossen und kommen mit Sicherheit wieder.

Schon die Ankunft war wunderschön: Christine,... Read more Emanuel und Charlie haben uns vom Auto abgeholt und wir sind gemeinsam zum Camp gelaufen. Man geht durchs Rezeptions-Zelt und es eröffnet sich ein unbeschreiblicher Ausblick hinunter auf die Maasai Mara und den Mara River. Dann ein köstliches Mittagessen von Koch Zomo.

Die Unterkünfte: Wow. Luxury Tented trifft es. Dabei aber keineswegs überkandidelt. Solarstrom für die Beleuchtung. Die warme Dusche wird vom Personal auf Wunsch mit etwa 15 Minuten Vorlauf bereitgestellt. Abends erwartete uns eine heiße Wärmeflasche im Bett. Du glaubst es kaum. Selbst wenn es nachts kühl wird, die Decken sind super warm (zusätzliche Decken gibt es außerdem im Badezimmer).

Frühstück und Abendessen: Spitze. Lecker. Und immer ein toller, freundlicher Service. Nach dem Abendessen wird man mit Taschenlampe zum Zelt begleitet. Nachts soll man nicht ohne Begleitung im Camp unterwegs sein. Da es keine Zäune gibt, können auch Tiere ins Camp kommen. Aber auch unsere Kinder hatten deswegen keinerlei Sorge. Im Gegenteil: man genießt es, mitten in der Natur zu sein. Hört Tiere rufen und den Fluß rauschen. Sonst nichts.

Die Game Drives vom Camp aus (wir hatten alles mit Phoenix Safaris gebucht - sehr empfehlenswert!) sind beeindruckend. Die Landschaft und Tierwelt versetzen einen in Staunen - man kann es kaum fassen, Elefanten, Giraffen, Löwen usw. "einfach so" in freier Wildbahn zu sehen.
